This stunning piece is inspired by the pearl necklace Jamie gives Claire on their wedding night in the books.
“It was a string of small baroque pearls, those irregularly shaped productions of freshwater mussels, interspersed with tiny pierced-work gold roundels. Smaller pearls dangled from the gold beads.” - from Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander”, Chapter 14 “A Marriage Takes Place”
Made of genuine white freshwater pearls, interspersed with gold-plated filigree round beads, with smaller pearls dangling from the gold beads on gold-plated wire. FInished with a gold-plated clasp. If you prefer a totally historically accurate version, I can add a ribbon closure, just message me.
Please measure on YOUR body and choose the correct necklace length that you want. (For instance, a 20 inch necklace looks different on a slender neck than a slightly larger neck.) All necklaces are made to order in your chosen length. Turnaround time is usually 7 to 10 days, as this is a very labor-intensive piece. If you need by a specific date, be sure to let me know (priority shipping is also available).
This is the perfect luxury gift for fans of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books and television series. This makes a wonderful wedding or bridal necklace. Beautifully simple matching 14K gold-filled pearl drop earrings in an 18th-century style are also available in the shop (search “pearl drop earrings”)
Supply note: due to COVID-19 supply interruptions, there may sometimes be a longer turnaround time to allow for restocking the components.
